After an early breakfast in Kathmandu, you will drive to Machha Khola, the starting point of the Manaslu Circuit Trek. The journey takes around 8 hours through winding hilly roads, terraced fields, and river valleys, offering stunning Himalayan scenery. The trek begins with a gradual ascent along the Budhi Gandaki River, passing charming villages, suspension bridges, and terraced farmlands. Experience the authentic culture of the local Gurung and Magar communities. Reach Jagat by late afternoon and rest for the night. Overnight stay in Jagat.

Spend a full day in Sama Gaon to properly acclimatize for the higher altitudes ahead. Today’s trek is a gradual ascent to Dharmasala, also called Larke Base Camp. The path passes glacial streams and rocky terrains, preparing you for the Larke-La Pass. Overnight stay in Dharmasala.
This is the most challenging day of the trek. You will cross the Larke-La Pass, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas. After the long descent, reach Bhimphedi and rest for the night. Overnight stay in Bhimphedi.
The trek descends through lush valleys, forests, and traditional villages. Enjoy the natural beauty and local culture as you make your way to Tilje Village. Overnight stay in Tilje Village.
After breakfast, you will drive back to Kathmandu. The journey takes around 8–9 hours, passing scenic landscapes, rivers, and villages. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel for rest. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

The Short Manaslu Circuit Trek is a condensed version of the full Manaslu Circuit, circling the world's 8th highest peak, Mt. Manaslu (8,163m). It covers all key highlights - Larkya La Pass, Samagaon, Samdo, and Bimthang - in 11 days and approximately 110 to 120 kilometers of total trekking distance, making it perfect for trekkers with limited time.
The Full Manaslu Circuit Trek takes 13 to16 days and covers the entire route in greater detail. The Short Manaslu Circuit Trek completes the same iconic loop in just 11 days, covering all the key highlights - Larkya La Pass, Samagaon, and Bimthang - without missing any of the essential Himalayan experiences.
The trek is rated moderate to challenging. Daily walks of 5 to 8 hours, high altitude terrain, and the Larkya La Pass crossing at 5,160m make it physically demanding. No technical climbing skills are required, but good cardiovascular fitness is essential. It is not recommended for first-time high-altitude trekkers - prior experience at altitude is strongly advisable.
The highest point is Larkya La Pass at 5,160m - the crown jewel of the entire trek and one of the most rewarding high-altitude mountain pass crossings in all of Nepal.
Three permits are required - the Manaslu Restricted Area Permit (RAP), the Manaslu Conservation Area Permit (MCAP), and the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP). A local municipality entrance fee is also required. All permits must be arranged in Kathmandu through a licensed trekking agency before departure.
From September to November, the RAP costs USD 100 for the first 7 days and USD 15 per extra day. From December to August, it costs USD 75 for the first 7 days and USD 10 per extra day. MCAP and ACAP cost USD 20 each per person. A local municipality entrance fee of USD 7 per person is also required.
